Submissions will open on Wednesday, 20 September and close on Monday, 2 October 2023

The entrant’s full name, year of study, group number, name of the University’s academic unit, contact email address and phone number, when and where the photographs were taken, people depicted in the photographs, short description (optional).
Photographs must be submitted as a maximum-quality and minimum-compression JPEG files and must be saved at their original size (must not be scaled up) with a minimum 300dpi.
Will be given to photographs that contain images of non-Russian nationals.

We are excited to announce the results of this year’s competition! After receiving numerous entries from talented international students and graduates, we have finally chosen the top three winners.
1st Place: Mbandzany Rossy Laskony, a fifth-year student at the Medical Institute named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of the Congo)
2nd Place: Aswin Asok Saralamma Kurup, a forth-year student at the Medical Institute named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India)
3rd Place: Purohit Suraj Kumar, a fifth-year student at the Medical Institute named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India)
Congratulations to all the winners of our 2023 Photography Competition and a big thank you to all the photographers who shared their photos showing things they love about Crimea!
We believe that the competition has inspired our international students and graduates to explore the beauty of our peninsula, and we hope to see more amazing work from them in the future!
In 2022, the competition was traditionally co-hosted by Vernadsky CFU and the Foundation for the Promotion of Research, Culture and Cinema Development “Odyssey” represented by Director Odissei Pipiia.
We were delighted to receive some 80 entries from our 13 international students and graduates to this year’s competition and the results of the judges’ deliberation are listed below.
1st Place: Barath Jeya Sekharan, a third-year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India)
2nd Place: Cadrol Mpouyi-Ngouala, a forth-year Political Science student at Taurida Academy (Republic of the Congo)
3rd Place: Mabiala Gilbert, a graduate of M.I. Kalinin Crimean Agricultural Institute (1993)
We would like to congratulate this year’s winning photographers, and also wish to thank all the students and graduates who submitted the many wonderful entries. We hope you enjoyed taking your fantastic photographs, and that you are looking forward to our 2023 Photography Competition next year.

In 2021, the competition was co-hosted by Vernadsky CFU and the Foundation for the Promotion of Research, Culture and Cinema Development ‘Odyssey’ represented by Director Odissei Pipiia.
A total of over 200 entries which came from 43 international students and graduates of the University were submitted for consideration by the jury, and here are the winners of this year’s competition:
1st Place: Purohit Suraj Kumar, a third-year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India);
2nd Place: Arvin Raja, a sixth-year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India);
3rd Place: Barath Jeya Sekharan, a second-year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India).
Thank you and well done to everyone who took part in the competition for their wonderful entries. The judges had a very difficult time selecting the best images. We hope you agree that the winner and runners up did a great job.

Vernadsky CFU Prize: Maishan Osman Gani, a fourth-year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India);
Odyssey Foundation Prize: Shivam Dhaked, a second-year student at the Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky (Republic of India).
